Bondalti rewards employees' creativity

The spirit of innovation and the involvement of employees once again marked Bondalti's “Colombo Openday” initiative, which celebrates its fifth edition this year.

Bondalti concluded yet another edition of “Colombo Openday”, an initiative that every year aims to encourage the participation of employees in the company's innovation process, rewarding the most creative ideas. The presentation of the awards took place in the auditorium of the Eco-Parque in Estarreja, with the presence, among others, of the distinguished employees and members of Bondalti's management, including the president João de Mello.

Lino Oliveira, Walter Fontes and the duo formed by José Matos and Mário Machado were, from first to third place, respectively, the winners of the prizes for the best idea, as they presented a set of excellent suggestions with a view to improving the production and industrial process. There was also room for the awarding of the most sustainable idea, given to Osvaldo Barros. All the distinguished employees received monetary prizes.

Counting this edition with 42 ideas submitted to competition, the initiative included for the first time the employees of the Bondalti factory in Torrelavega, thus extending the challenge to the company's industrial unit located in Cantabria.

The event was broadcasted over the internet, which allowed live monitoring of all employees in Portugal and Spain.

The “Colombo Openday” has been taking place since 2016, having so far a total of 60 participants.
