Bondalti ensures supply of important cleaning and disinfection products

Bondalti, the largest Portuguese producer in the Chemical Industry sector, adopted a set of measures to ensure the continuity of the supply of essential products to various sectors of activity, namely cleaning and disinfection actions, which gain special relevance in the present context of health emergency.

Thus, Bondalti informs that it has stocks of sodium hypochlorite, a product that can be used for cleaning and disinfecting streets, through a solution with water in high pressure guns. Bearing in mind that this procedure is being adopted in European cities, namely in Madrid, and with the objective of quickly assisting in the search for sodium hypochlorite, Bondalti will expedite the supply directly whenever requested.

Considering the increase in the number of coronavirus cases and their rapid dissemination in the Iberian Peninsula, Bondalti has a Contingency Plan in place that aims to reinforce the protection of its employees and the population, as well as ensuring the continuity of the operation and the supply to customers. A set of measures was adopted to control both risks to public health and disruption in the supply of products.

As is public knowledge, Bondalti supplies chemicals that are used in the treatment of water for human consumption and residual water, industrial water treatment with special importance regarding the treatment of legionella, as well as the supply of biocidal products fundamental to the proper functioning of several industries, namely the production of electric energy and the food industry (disinfection of the production lines of their industrial processes).

Bondalti therefore seeks to ensure that these products, namely chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, are produced and distributed normally between factories and customers.

These products are important to avoid public health risks and disturbances in the supply of electricity.
