Bondalti integrates project to produce renewable hydrogen

Bondalti is part of the consortium of 13 companies and research partners that will develop the GreenH2Atlantic project, to produce renewable hydrogen in Sines.

This was one of three projects selected under the European Green Deal to demonstrate the viability of green hydrogen on an unprecedented scale of production and technological application. The 30-million-euro fund will help finance the construction of the hydrogen unit, which is due to start in 2023 and whose operation is expected to start in 2025.

In addition to Bondalti, the new green hydrogen production project in Sines includes companies such as EDP, Galp, ENGIE, Martifer, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, McPhy and Efacec, and academic and research partners such as ISQ, INESC-TEC, DLR, CEA and Axelera.

Bondalti's participation in this consortium is in line with its decarbonisation and business diversification strategy, significantly contributing to Portugal's sustainability goals and to the observance of the energy transition roadmap.
