GreenH2Atlantic considered a project of Potential National Interest

GreenH2Atlantic, a project aimed at producing green hydrogen in Sines, in which Bondalti participates, obtained the status of Potential National Interest (PIN) project, attributed by the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP).

According to AICEP, this is "recognition of the strategic importance that the project has for Portugal". Strategic investment and attracting investors and international partners, job creation, boosting the local economy and the commitment to innovation and energy transition from renewable sources were factors that motivated the decision.

According to AICEP, "for the attribution of this status, all the consulted entities were favorable: Portuguese Environment Agency, General Directorate of Energy and Geology, Institute for Nature Conservation, Portugal Tourism and Sines City Council".

The GreenH2Atlantic project is expected to create 1147 direct jobs and 2744 indirect ones along the entire hydrogen value chain, with a planned investment of more than 150 million euros, of which 30 million come from funds allocated by the European Commission (Horizon 2020 program).
