We talked to the participants of the latest edition of the “Colombo” idea mining program, to fully understand the impact of their contributions.
The “Colombo” program was launched in 2006 and aims to encourage the participation of all employees in the company's innovation process, rewarding the most creative ideas. The award relates to ideas submitted the year before the delivery ceremony, so Tiago Silva, the winner of the latest edition, now shows us the beginning of the implementation of his "Autonomous Starting System for Critical Equipment".
We also talked to Nuno Vidal, winner of the most sustainable idea, that was awarded for the first time ever, who explained how his project “Water recovery in the aniline tanks” – still under development – will contribute to the reduction of steam consumption, and consequent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Marco Prior, “Colombo” program manager, and Inês Ribeiro, Planning, Innovation and Sustainability coordinator, contextualize the project and what it represents for Bondalti.
