Torrelavega

The Torrelavega factory, opened in 2019, enabled the company to establish itself as the largest producer in the chlor-alkali segment on the Iberian Peninsula. The facilities acquired by Bondalti, within the Solvay Chemical complex, have undergone a major modernisation process, with an investment of around 60 million euros. This factory is operated through Bondalti Cantábria.

This Bondalti unit has an installed capacity of 68 000 tonnes/year and focuses on the production of chlorine, caustic soda, hydrogen, hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite, responding to market demand for polyurethane and PVC production, water treatment and purification, textile production, paper pulp, aluminium, cleaning products and applications in the vast majority of manufactured products.
