Bondalti Water develops a new project for the Spanish group Polymer Loop

Bondalti Water is developing and installing an industrial wastewater treatment plant at a new plastic waste recycling and pellet production plant in Montalbán, Teruel (Aragon), owned by Politer, part of the Polymer Loop group.

The Bondalti Water project includes the construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the use of membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology, a solution that stands out for its efficiency, thanks to the high quality of the effluent obtained and the ability to adapt to the particularities of each industrial sector.

The industrial automation component, fundamental in Industry 4.0, obtained through the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, is another of the central elements of the project, allowing to supervise, control and optimize each of the industrial processes in real time, as well as improving their efficiency, productivity, safety and reducing operating costs. The use of this type of control and management tools favors the early detection of possible problems and provides practically immediate solutions, through alarm devices, equipment control and maintenance screens, factory operating instructions, real-time graphics of process variables, and other advantages.

This Bondalti Water project will ensure a significant reinforcement of the environmental sustainability of the company's operations through the adoption of the best available techniques, the reduction of energy and chemical products, and the improvement of waste management.

With headquarters in Coruña and an operations center in Teruel, the Polymer Loop group produces 3200 tons of recycled Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) pellets monthly for the domestic and international markets. The company has extensive experience in this sector, adopting a philosophy focused on quality control, innovation and continuous product improvement.
