Bondalti Chemicals has reached a significant milestone in its sustainability strategy: its updated decarbonisation targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the leading international benchmark for setting science-based climate targets.

Validation by the SBTi represents external recognition of the robustness of Bondalti’s climate strategy and the work carried out to place sustainability at the heart of its operations.
This validation confirms that the company's commitments align with the global need to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reinforces Bondalti’s role in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Bondalti Chemicals is committed to:
- Reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 63.0% by 2035, using 2023 as the base year;
- Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions, arising from fuel and energy-related activities and the processing of products sold, by 37.5 per cent by 2035, compared with 2023;
- Ensure that 100 per cent of suppliers of goods and services procured, and of transport and distribution upstream of its operations, have science-based decarbonisation targets in place by 2030.
For the first time, Bondalti is incorporating specific targets for Scope 3, extending its decarbonisation commitment across the entire value chain.
The targets now validated by the SBTi reinforce and complement the voluntary commitments previously made by Bondalti, which remain in force as internal strategic milestones.
Bondalti remains committed to reducing its carbon footprint, promoting operational efficiency and collaborating with partners and suppliers to accelerate the decarbonisation of the value chain.
Achieving these targets will require the involvement of the entire organisation and underlines the importance of sustainability as one of the strategic pillars of Bondalti’s future.
