Bondalti Water assumes biogas as a strategic axis of development

The company places biogas and biomethane at the heart of its strategy. The new report from the International Energy Agency validates this decision.

Bondalti Water reinforces its commitment to biogas and biomethane as one of its main lines of development for the coming years. According to the latest analysis by the International Energy Agency (IEA), there is enormous potential in these technologies, indicating that the world could produce up to 1 000 bcme of biogas per year, which would represent 25% of global natural gas demand, solely through the sustainable recovery of organic waste.

Bondalti Water, thanks to its experience in water treatment, waste recovery and advanced biological solutions, is positioned as a key player in accelerating the implementation of these renewable energies. The company promotes the development of high-efficiency biogas and biomethane plants, implementing circular economy models, biomethane injection into the grid and the generation of innovative solutions for energy self-consumption within the industrial sector.

The company recently presented its Comprehensive Project for biogas self-consumption in industry, which combines biogas production with the treatment and recovery of digestate, transforming industrial waste into renewable energy and high added-value fertilisers.

This presentation reflects the company's commitment to technological innovation, energy efficiency and resource circularity, aligning itself with the decarbonisation and energy security objectives set by the IEA. Supported by the IEA's conclusions and the expected growth in the sector, which could increase five- or tenfold in the coming decades, Bondalti Water is consolidating its position as a strategic hub in the transition towards cleaner, more competitive and sustainable energy, contributing significantly to the development of a local, circular and resilient energy model.
