Chlorine Dioxide

Chlorine dioxide is increasingly being used as a disinfectant and oxidizing medium in water treatment and purification. At Bondalti Water we design, build and commission chlorine dioxide generators based on dilute sodium chlorite/hydrochloric acid precursors.

The reaction that acts on excess acid is produced by dosing chemicals diluted in a ratio of 1:1. With this system, chlorine dioxide is generated in the reactor at a concentration of 20 g/l, thus allowing its immediate dilution in the water cycle.

For safety reasons, the system will be ready to operate when the water dilution cycle, monitored and controlled on the screen, exceeds the minimum and a level is detected in the two chemical reagent tanks. The pumps, with a short delay, will start injecting 7.5% sodium chlorite and 9% hydrochloric acid into the reactor. The production of chlorine dioxide will depend on the dosing mode selected by the user.
