PACOPAR renews support for the community of Estarreja

PACOPAR - Community Advisory Panel of the Responsible Action Programme, made up of Bondalti and other companies from the Estarreja Chemical Complex, has renewed its support for the local community with the allocation of around €44,000 to fund four non-profit projects and three scholarships for students in the municipality.

The donation ceremony took place at the municipality's Eco Business Park Business Centre and was attended by the director of the Bondalti factory in Estarreja, David Lopes.

The initiatives selected have high potential for generating positive social impact and are aligned with the values of inclusion, well-being and environmental responsibility, contributing to the effective improvement of living conditions in the local community. Social intervention, inclusive education, support for people in vulnerable situations and improving safety and comfort in institutions are the areas covered by these proposals.

In addition, and in coordination with the local authority, three social scholarships worth three thousand euros each were awarded to young students in the municipality. This support aims to promote equal access to higher education, recognising academic merit and supporting families in situations of economic fragility.

With almost 25 years of existence, PACOPAR was created following the voluntary participation of companies in the Estarreja Chemical Complex in the ‘Responsible Action’ Programme, an international initiative that aims to optimise the performance of companies in various areas, improve employee safety and promote the well-being of communities, with a view to a more sustainable future.
